Divine Protection

The Righteous Shall Flourish: Lesson Part 3 (P3) from the Book of Ps 92:12-14 – DIVINE PROTECTION

“The Righteous shall flourish like the Palm Tree: He shall grow like a Cedar in Lebanon” (Psalms 92:12). That is the Focal Scripture for Today.

The Cedar tree like we earlier observed has a very pleasant smell as a result of the natural Oil in the tree. This pleasant smell ends up attracting harmful insects to the tree, but the natural oil of the tree is actually toxic to the insects. The ‘good smell’ of the Cedar tree makes it a target for harmful insects, but unknown to the insects, the Cedar tree has Oil that acts like an insecticide. Ordinarily, the insects come to harm the tree, they end up being harmed. They might come to stop the Cedar tree; but they end up being stopped. They might come to destroy the Cedar tree, but they end up destroyed.

The Scripture above likens the righteous to a Cedar in Lebanon. In other word, the Righteous is likened to a tree which attracts harmful insects. It is further likened to a tree which has the capacity to kill every harmful insect that makes attempt on it. That means, there is something about the Righteous that makes him Untouchable!

Beloved, is it not true that because we smell good, we end up attracting negative attacks? We (believers) attract & suffer all sorts of negative criticism, dangerous conspiracies, adverse reports, malicious gossips, backbiting, envy, jealously etc. Most times, because of what God has done or what He is about to do in your life, family or ministry, you may suffer resentment from people (including individual, mate, corporate or government) or other believers alike without a cause.

Beloved, like the Cedar tree, the Oil of God you carry will stop everything or anyone that wants to stop you (Ps 105:15). It will silence every voice or conspiracy against your destiny (Ps 54:17). The blessings of God upon your life will not make you vulnerable; rather, it will make your attackers dangerously vulnerable in the hands of God!

Relax! You are Untouchable! You are Preserved! You are Protected!

Pray with me, “Lord, I am divinely protected; I declare that no harm or evil shall befall me this season and beyond in Jesus’ name” Amen.

Have a Fruitful Week!
