Divine Fragrance

The Righteous Shall Flourish: Lesson Part 2 (P2) from the Book of Ps 92:12-14 – DIVINE FRAGRANCE.

“The Righteous shall flourish like the Palm Tree: He shall grow like a Cedar in Lebanon.” (Psalms 92:12)That is the Focal Scripture for today.

One of the major characteristics of the Cedar tree is the fact that it has a pleasant smell. Some other trees may give off pungent odours, but for the Cedar tree, its smell is extra pleasing. Its fragrance is lovely.

According to the Scripture above, the righteous man is likened to a Cedar in Lebanon. In other word, the righteous man smells good and pleasantly. Please not that this isn’t a good smell occasioned by use of physical cologne, deodorants or body spray of make up! It is purely a divine fragrance.

2 Corinthians 2:15-16 captures it succinctly; it says, “In fact, God thinks of us a perfume that brings Christ to everyone…this perfume has a sweet smell and leads them to a better life” (Contemporary English Version).

Beloved, in this, hear God’s declaration to you: You smell good in the mighty name of Jesus. It is a divine fragrance of favour. It is the irresistible fragrance of God’s Spirit. It  is a divine fragrance that will make you the toast of many. Sometimes, the perfume one wears could depict quality and class; get ready for God himself will use you to depict quality and class this year and beyond in Jesus’ name. Amen.

As you get ready to step out, always remember, apart from the physical cologne you are wearing, there is an unseen divine perfume on you. It brings favour, fruitfulness, promotion, unexpected breakthroughs and keeps you ahead of the pack!

Can I hear you declare to yourself – I SMELL GOOD!

Pray with me, “My father and my God, I declare that I smell good, it is a smell of favour, fruitfulness, abundance, flourishing….in Jesus’ name”. Amen.
Have a Restful Saturday!
